Foods To Help Relieve Constipation

Fruit To Help ConstipationAre you looking for information on foods to help with constipation? You are very smart in trying to improve your diet and this is one of the first steps in preventing and helping with your current constipation. I would just like to first point out, the fact that constipation is actually a symptom of having an unhealthy colon. Proper diet will definitely help with this, but in order to properly stop constipation at the root of the problem a colon cleanse is what is needed.

Constipation happens because the body is constantly taking in toxins everyday. This build up of toxins affects the colon's ability to properly absorb nutrients from the food we eat and also loses it's ability to properly remove waste from the body through proper bowel movements. Resulting in a build up of feces and toxins. The average person has 5lbs to 40lbs of feces inside their colon. This is extremely unhealthy. If the colon is not cleaned out to remove this build up of feces, soon bacteria starts to build up inside and constipation can easily turn into more serious health conditions such as colon cancer, the third leading cause of death among cancers.

With that being said, there are foods that also help with constipation and diet is still very important.

So here are my four tips.

1.) Drink a lot of water, water is very important for food to properly digest. Many people often overlook how important drinking water is and if you are constipated it is more important then ever to be drinking plenty of water.

2.) Eat more fruits and vegetables. Chances are, if your not a vegetarian you probably are not eating enough of these. Also, you want to be getting in as much fiber as you possibly can. A high in fiber cereal in the morning will also be good for you.

3.) There are also things you will want to avoid as much as possible such as coffee, soda, and alcohol which contain other toxins that you don't want in your body.

4.) Here is a great way to make drinking water a lot easier. Add some lemon in it! This will help add some flavor and make water taste better and also acts as an appetite suppressant and calms cravings so you can avoid the junk food.

I hope you have found this article helpful. Thank you for reading, and please remember that proper diet is important for your constipation and overall health but a colon cleanse is also necessary to properly stop your constipation permanently.
