One of the most widespread health problem that usually affect a lot of people and small children and infants is constipation, the undigested food accumulates in our body and then it causes severe troubles, specially if a kid suffers with it you will have to spend many sleepless nights with the baby, so it is very essential to have healthy bowel movement and do away with all these problems.

The main reasons that cause constipation are inappropriate dietary habits, adding a lot of junk food and fast food in your diet, having a lot of non vegetarian meals, not enough intakes of water, and eating food that are not easily digestible, in kids the main reason is insufficient water. Constipation cause trouble in having a normal bowel movement, there are many remedies to treat constipation but precaution is always better than cure, therefore the best thing is prevent constipation, and incase you are already suffering and would want to get rid of the undigested food then you should try natural constipation remedies at home because they are very effective

Common home and natural constipation remedies especially for kids include;

1.Bael fruit a good laxative, it flushes out undigested food from the body, and a ripe bael fruit is good for constipation.

2.Make your baby warm milk before going to bed, you can also add castor oil for quick relief, or adding honey or sugar to the milk will also solve the point.

3.Add lemon juice to warm water and have it thrice a day for adults.

4.Aloevera gel can be taken one or two spoons twice a day.

5.Soak one date seed in half cup of water overnight, in the morning mash it and discard the pulp, take this syrup twice or thrice during the day.

6.Adding honey to warm water is also a good remedy and can be safely given to kids.

7.Another good natural constipation remedy is to mix .5 cup olive oil and equal quantity of orange juice and drink it.

8.Drink lots of water, around a liter, and exercise in morning.

9.Soak 50 grams of cassia pulp in water for a night take with 25 grams of water in the morning for relief from constipation.

10.Adding a lot of fruits and vegetables, and fibrous fruits that can be chewed and can be digested.

11.Triphala is another natural herbal remedy for constipation especially for kids.

I have terrible chronic constipation! Please help.?
I am a seventeen year old girl and have had chronic constipation since I was about 6 years old. I would go with out having a bowel movement for three to four weeks (yes, it's possible, but very uncomfortable). I have been hospitalized twice for this. I use suppositories when absolutely necessary. Normally, I just drink Miralax daily, but it is getting expensive. Unfortunately, if I DON'T do it, I get really constipated again. There are different types of constipation. Or ways, I guess? 1. When it gets stuck and won't come out at all, I use a suppository. 2. When I know it will come out, but it will be large and painful, so my legs start to shake as I go. My dad says I do this to myself. What should or shouldn't I eat? How do I maintain a regular bowel movement? I just need help. It sucks being bloated and uncomfortable. I've seen a specialist and they couldn't find anything wrong with me.
